Kung Hei Fat Choi! On behalf of the HKIAAT, I wish you all good health and a prosperous new year ahead.

As reported in last issue, we have been working on a number of new policies and tactics, such as re-instatement of full exemption, to meet the changing needs of our members and employers. We have finished the desk-top review of the accredited programmes and I am pleased to announce that over 20 of these programmes are now eligible for full exemption. This year we have also introduced some special offers for fresh graduates of accredited programmes to encourage them acquire the AAT qualification upon graduation. It is a credential that can help them set themselves apart from others in today's highly competitive environment.

This year is the HKIAAT's 25th anniversary. Looking back, HKIAAT has launched many different initiatives with a view to meet the broadening role required to support the financial and accounting professionals in the dynamic world in which they operate, such as the revamped AAT Examination under the New Qualification Framework and the AAT Foundation Examination for the new senior secondary school curriculum. I look forward to working with you to build a better and brighter future for Hong Kong's accountancy profession.

Stella Cho
President of HKIAAT
