It is my honour to be elected as the President of the HKIAAT this year. I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the immediate past president, Professor Stella Cho, for her thought leadership during the past three years, and the contributions made by the Board members during these challenging years. I am pleased to say that we have made good progress on the CPA qualifying process reform which encompasses the accounting technician qualification. A new page in the history of the accounting profession is coming soon. We are also confident that we will be able to build a long-term sustainable accounting qualification that befits the education landscape and market demand.

On 11 April 2015, the HKIAAT Accounting and Business Management Competition cum Annual Award and Graduation Ceremony was held with great success. Congratulations to all of the award recipients and graduates for making an important progress in their studies and career development! I wish to take this opportunity to thank all of the guests for gracing us with their presence, which greatly added to the joyous atmosphere of the event.

Thomas Wong
President of HKIAAT
