Examination matters

Results announcement for the December 2010 session
The examination results of both AAT Examination and PBE will be announced in the fourth week of February 2011.

Syllabus update for AAT Examination and PBE
Updated syllabuses and accounting software for the AAT Examination and PBE will be adopted from the June 2011 session onwards.

Abolition of PBE special topics from the June 2011 session onwards
PBE special topics will no longer be available from the June 2011 examination session onwards. This will be in line with the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs' qualification programme (QP) whereby special topics are not provided for the module assessment level.

Education and careers expo 2011
The HKIAAT will participate in the education and careers expo from 17 to 20 February 2011 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. We aim to introduce the HKIAAT qualifications and showcase the accounting profession to visitors. An information session will also be arranged at the expo on 18 February 2011. Come and join this annual event to obtain the latest information about the profession.

Our new series of CPD seminars can help you update your skills and knowledge. The next programme is:

Annual Award and Graduation Ceremony /
New Members’ Reception 2010-11

The Annual Award and Graduation Ceremony / New Members’ Reception 2010-11 will be held on 25 March 2011. We are pleased to have Mrs. Lesley Wong, J.P., Director of Accounting Services, The Treasury, as the guest of honour. Prizes will be awarded to our top students and scholarship recipients to recognize their outstanding academic performance. Our new graduates and members will also be invited to join this event to meet accounting professionals and academics.

Accountancy and Information Systems (AIS) Forum
A forum on contemporary issues in accounting and management information systems, organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), will be held on 26 February 2011 at IVE (Shatin). Click here for details.
