I am greatly honoured to be re-elected as President and to serve the HKIAAT Board for a third term. I would like to sincerely express my gratitude and appreciation to my fellow Board members for devoting so much of their time and efforts to HKIAAT over the years.

As reported in the last issue, the qualification framework under the new Qualification Programme ("QP") was announced earlier this year. HKIAAT will be focusing on the transitional arrangements to ensure that our stakeholders, including our students, members and accredited programme providers, can make a smooth transition to the Associate Level of the new QP.

In the meantime, we are in negotiations with UKAAT and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand for the renewal or extension of the current Reciprocal Membership Agreement for our AAT members. This would ensure that our AAT members could continue to use the AAT designation after the dormancy of HKIAAT.

Thomas Wong
President of HKIAAT
