It is with great gratitude and honour for me to be
re-elected as the President of HKIAAT. I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to my fellow Board members for their staunch support in the past year.

We are finalizing the Consultation Paper on the proposed changes to the CPA qualifying process. The Management has been visiting tertiary institutions since February 2016 to give faculty members an overview of the proposed changes and to gauge their views on the new QP. We are pleased to receive valuable feedback and support during our visits. The draft Consultation Paper will be submitted to the HKICPA Council for approval in May 2016 before its issuance to the public for wider consultation in June 2016.

The annual Accounting and Business Management Case Competition cum Annual Award and Graduation Ceremony was successfully held on 16 April 2016. I wish to congratulate all award recipients and graduates for their accomplishment. I also wish to extend a big thank you to our distinguished guests and the 180 attendees for attending and supporting this event. Wishing all awardees and graduates a bright and rewarding future in their studies and careers!

Thomas Wong
President of HKIAAT
