Professional Bridging Examination (PBE)

Overview

Upon completing the ATE, you can opt to further develop your career prospects by taking the Professional Bridging Examination (PBE). A PBE holder possesses advanced accounting knowledge in such areas as financial reporting, management accounting, financial management, economics, statistics, and business law.

For some who have achieved the highest HKIAAT qualification may choose to exceed his/her professional advancement through the HKICPA's Qualification Programme. It also enables you to advance your career as the PBE qualification enables you to apply for several government positions such as Accounting Officer II in the Treasury, and Assistant Assessor in the Inland Revenue Department.

The PBE qualification also receives advanced standing for bachelor and master degrees in accounting and finance disciplines.

*The HKIAAT is launching a New Qualification Framework in June 2009. For more details, please click here.
