Certified Accounts Clerk (CAC)
Overview
The Certified Accounts Clerk (CAC) qualification is well suited for the Hong Kong business environment and sets the required vocational standard for junior accounting staff. It confirms your ability in basic book-keeping and knowledge of computerised accounting entry systems. Holders of the qualification possess the essential accounting knowledge and skills for entry level accounting positions. Those who would like to attain a higher qualification for career advancement may apply for the Accredited Accounting Technician (AAT) Examination.
To acquire the CAC qualification, you should:
- have successfully completed the HKIAAT Applied Learning Course for Senior Secondary Students "Practical Accounting for SMEs" for secondary school students;or
- have successfully completed the Employees Retraining Course "Certificate in HKIAAT Certified Accounts Clerk Training"; or
- obtain a pass in "Paper 1 - Fundamentals of Accounting and Computerised Accounts" under the Accredited Accounting Technician (AAT) Examination
