Applied Learning for Senior Secondary Students

The HKIAAT has been offering the Applied Learning (ApL) course “Practical Accounting for SMEs” since the 2005-07 cohort of piloting. It is one of the most well-received ApL courses that train students the elementary knowledge and skills in accounting. Caritas Community & Higher Education Service

Caritas Community & Higher Education Service is well-experienced in offering diversified education to the community. As one of the course providers in offering the then Career-oriented Curriculum (renamed as Applied Learning) since 2003, Caritas has been smooth in running the HKIAAT ApL course.
Vocational Training Council

Since 2005, the Vocational Training Council (VTC) has been the course deliverer of the HKIAAT ApL course. The VTC is experienced in providing courses for students in Form-three level or above. It is also experienced in running ApL courses and in co-operating with secondary schools.

Caritas Chong Yuet Ming Secondary School (CYM) has been offering the HKIAAT Applied Learning course since the first cohort of piloting and the number of student enrolment has been ever increasing. Mr. Lee Ying Yee, principal of CYM, thinks that the course is very helpful to students for further studies and career development.
Cumberland Presbyterian Church Yao Dao Secondary School

Cumberland Presbyterian Church Yao Dao Secondary School (CPCYDSS) has introduced the HKIAAT ApL course since 2008. Mr. Sam Ka Chi, teacher at CPCYDSS, thinks that this ApL course not only enhances the interest in learning but provides diversified development path. This is helpful to students when making a choice in employment or further studies in the future.

With its student-oriented teaching rationale, Caritas Chai Wan Marden Foundation Secondary School launched the ApL course "Practical Accounting for SMEs” in 2007, in order to broaden its students’ learning horizons. Vice Principal Mr. Chiu Siu Kee notes that the course involves many accounting software workshops which make the learning process highly practical and interesting.

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals – C.Y. Ma Memorial College

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals – C.Y. Ma Memorial College introduced the Practical Accounting for SMEs course in 2008. Lai Siu Tim, subject head of accounting in the college, praises the ApL course that it can get students involved and keep them motivated.
