On 4 October 2013, we celebrated our 25th Anniversary. It was a joyous and memorable event which we shared with nearly 200 guests. We were most honoured to have Mr. Martin Siu, Deputy Director of Accounting Services, The Treasury and Hon Kenneth Leung, member of the Legislative Council (Accountancy Functional Constituency) to grace our event by officiating the opening ceremony and giving us a speech. The presence of our past presidents in sharing their stories during their time at HKIAAT had also added great colours and was a climax of our dinner. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our guests for joining us in celebrating our successes of the past years.

Faculty members of the programme providers are our valued partners in grooming future talents for the accounting profession. On 23 November 2013, we will hold our annual Teachers' Conference which this year takes the theme "Enhancing teaching quality through technical updates". The Conference is a fantastic platform for faculty members to network, exchange views and learn about the latest developments at the HKIAAT. We look forward to your staunch support again.

In this issue we publish a series of relevant technical articles to assist students in preparing for the forthcoming examinations. Work hard and you will succeed in your pursuit of the AAT qualification!
