The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (the "Institute") has announced the implementation phase of the new Qualification Programme ("QP"). The new QP will be rolled out in June 2020 (Associate Level), December 2020 (Professional Level), and June 2021 (Capstone Level). In line with the launch of the new QP, the last examination session of the Professional Bridging Examination ("PBE") will be held in December 2019. More details on the transitional arrangements for the new QP can be found at the Institute's website.

As reported in earlier issues, we have extended our Reciprocal Membership Agreement ("RMA") with the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and UKAAT to 31 December 2019 and 31 December 2020 respectively. These RMAs provide additional pathways for HKIAAT members to join top-tier overseas professional bodies. I encourage our members to take advantage of the RMAs and grasp the chance to expand their horizons.

I wish you the best of luck with your studies.

Webster Ng
President of HKIAAT
