Kung Hei Fat Choi! I wish you all a healthy and rewarding Year of the Monkey!

It is my pleasure to present the annual report of the HKIAAT for the year 2014-2015. As pointed out in the annual report, one of the most important news for our organization is that the HKICPA has initiated a comprehensive review on the CPA qualifying process to pave the way for the transformation of the HKIAAT. I am pleased to inform you that the CPA qualifying process reform is now in its final stage, and the Management has already made plans to visit faculty members of some universities and tertiary institutions beginning in late February 2016 to solicit initial feedback on the new HKICPA Qualification Framework. The draft Consultation Paper for the CPA qualifying process reform will then be submitted to the HKICPA Council for review in mid-2016 before its issuance to the public for further consultation. More up-to-date news will be shared with you in our upcoming issues.

Thomas Wong
President of HKIAAT
