I am pleased to report that the reform on the CPA qualifying process which encompasses the accounting technician qualification is in good progress. The appointed independent consultant, the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland, has submitted the Final Report on its findings and recommendations. We are currently finalizing the details of the new framework before submitting our recommendations to the HKICPA Council for its consideration and deliberation in March 2015. We shall keep you posted on the latest developments.

Let's celebrate and welcome 2015. My heartfelt best wishes to you for a new year filled with happiness and aspiration for progression!

Stella Cho
President of HKIAAT
