HKIAAT Scholarship 2009-2010

The HKIAAT Scholarship 2009-2010 is open for application. The aims of the Scholarship are to recognize academic merits; to encourage graduates of diploma to associate degree levels to pursue the examinations run by the HKIAAT; and to serve as a new source of financial aid for deserving students. Full-time students of HKIAAT accredited programmes who have achieved outstanding performance in academic and extra-curricular activities are eligible for nomination. +





 
New exemption policy

Under the HKIAAT’s New Qualification Framework (NQF), exemptions will be granted on a subject by subject basis up to a maximum of seven papers to graduates of accredited programmes offered by educational institutions effective from intakes of 2009/2010 academic year. HKICPA / OUHK Top-up Degree for AAT Graduates
We are pleased to announce that AAT graduates are now eligible for direct entry into the Bachelor of Professional Accounting with Honours, a new collaborative degree programme run by the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs and the Open University of Hong Kong. This programme aligns with the Professional Bridging Examination syllabus and successful graduates can be admitted to the Hong Kong Institute of CPA’s Qualification Programme. +

Non-accounting major graduates can start a bright new chapter in their careers with the AAT qualification. Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games
The 5th East Asian Games, Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games (EAG), will be held from 5-13 December 2009. In support of the EAG, the District Leisure Services Offices of the LCSD in 18 districts will organize a series of play-in sessions of the EAG Exercise in its designated venues until early December. Admission is free and you are cordially invited to join to show your energy and enthusiasm towards the coming EAG.

Hoi Ming: I am studying a diploma course in accounting which is accredited by the HKIAAT. I will be exempted from six papers. I have decided to pursue a career in accounting, so I plan to attain the AAT qualification. How can I prepare for the remaining two papers?
Our answer:
The HKIAAT provides different kinds of learning support to students. Study texts and pilot papers are available, and different course providers offer many preparatory courses. Recently, the Employees Retraining Board (ERB) has been offering part-time training courses for the AAT Examination. Click here for the list of course providers and details of ERB training courses.
