The HKIAAT, as the course provider for Applied Learning course "Practical Accounting for SMEs", is pleased to arrange briefing sessions for schools to help students make informed choices in their studies. Caritas Yuen Long Chan Chun Ha Secondary School introduced "Practical Accounting for SMEs" as a pilot course in 2005-07. School teacher Mr. Liu Tang Man speaks in praise of the course, which he regards as rich in content and has a positive impact on his students’ learning and development.+
 
     
Sharing from students    
Sonia and Choi Fung are students of Caritas Yuen Long Chan Chun Ha Secondary School. One has taken and the other is currently taking the "Practical Accounting for SMEs" course. They tell us about their experience on the course, and how they think it reinforces their understanding of the accounting concepts, while broadening their horizons.+
 

This is a continuation of the HKIAAT Accounting and Business Management Case Competition. The little reporters are the competition winners of last year from Cognitio College (Kowloon). They have interviewed Mr. Timothy Chu, an accountant with a global enterprise and an AAT graduate. Find out what they have learnt!+
 
Although sending letters might be less popular than sending emails in today’s business world, letters still play an important role in communication. This issue outlines the features of five different letter layouts.+

"Meet the Authors" sessions are hosted by the Hong Kong Public Libraries. These sessions provide a wonderful platform for young people to get in touch with authors to find out more about their experiences and insights about life.

Our answer:
Once you complete the course "Practical Accounting for SMEs", you can start your career as an accounts clerk and work towards attaining the AAT qualification, which equips you with the skill sets to work at supervisory level. Alternatively, you may further your studies and apply for post-secondary programmes in accounting or business related disciplines. Click here for more details.
